Daihannya Prayer
This is a sacred prayer ceremony in which the Daihannya Sutra is chanted before the holy presence of Bishamonten in the Main Hall.
The Daihannya Sutra comprises six hundred volumes brought back from India by the great monk Xuanzang,
and the essential passages are recited through the sacred method of tendoku (rapid sutra reading).
The well-known Heart Sutra is regarded as the quintessence of this Daihannya Sutra.

Bishamon Goma Fire Ritual
The Bishamon Goma is a sacred esoteric rite passed down through generations at Shigisan Senjuin.
It is the most spiritually powerful of all Bishamonten prayer rituals transmitted through orthodox Shingon Esoteric Buddhism.
Among the heavenly deities, only the highest-ranking possess the Goma ritual. Bishamonten of Shigisan Senjuin
has long been revered as the "Goma Bishamonten," attracting deep devotion alongside the principal deity of the Main Hall.
About the Goma Fire Ritual
"Goma" is a transliteration of the ancient Sanskrit word homa, meaning "to burn" or "to offer into fire."
Originally, it was a ceremony of offering sacred oblations into a pure flame as an offering to the heavens.
This practice originated in ancient Persia, spread to India, and has been performed since approximately 1,500 BCE.
It was later systematized as an esoteric rite of Shingon Buddhism and transmitted to Japan during the Heian period by Kobo Daishi Kukai, the founder of the Shingon school.
It was brought to Shigisan during the late Heian period by the venerable monk Myoren.
The secret rite of offering grains, washed rice, and various oblations into the sacred fire to pray for the fulfillment of wishes is called "Gegoma" (external Goma).
Simultaneously, the practice of symbolically burning away the defilements and karmic obstructions within one's own heart is known as "Naigoma" (internal Goma).
By attending the Goma ceremony and chanting sacred mantras, body, mind, and spirit are purified, and the Buddha's heart of Bodaishin (aspiration for enlightenment) is awakened.

After your application, the prayer will be solemnly conducted at the Goma Hall on a designated date,
and the sacred talisman will be sent to you.
This service is available for those who live far away or have busy schedules.

Zenikame Prayer & Spirit Consecration
Zenikame Zenshin, enshrined in Senjuin's Zenikame Hall, is the guardian deity of financial fortune and prosperity.
The sacred Zenikame prayer is solemnly conducted in the Goma Hall.

Please fill in the prayer application form at the Senjuin temple office.
After confirming the details, you may receive the prayer ceremony.
For special prayers, we recommend calling in advance for a smooth arrangement.

Please contact our temple office by telephone. We will confirm the prayer details and explain any important notes.
For those living far away, we accept applications via bank transfer to our designated account.
Upon confirmation of payment, the prayer will be solemnly conducted and the sacred talisman mailed to you.
